About Alumni

1. Introduce yourself? 

My Name is ​Rudaina I finished master's degree in English literature from Jordan University and worked as an A+ freelance tourist guide in Jordan. My job opened my eyes on the huge opportunity of rehabilitating the rural communities in Four Governorates in Jordan; Ajloun, Jerash, Salt and Karak, to be part of the tourism industry.

I'm the CEO & Founder of Bookagri is a Goro in Agri tourism development since 2015 and on going. My Bookagri Company/project has created new branded agritourism experiences & destinations that did not exist before the year 2015 and has put Jordan on the global Agri tourism Map as destination for agritourism.

The four Bookagri destinations cover more than 20 villages, more than 40 different agri tourism experiences and positively impacts more than 300 families in Jordan with the support of USAID, MEDA, OXFAM, GIZ, EBRD and EU.

I'm put a standard that have sustainable practices and goals for Bookagri which is now open to Franchising and expanding to the MENA region.

2. Share your fondest memory from your time at Jordan University?

My fondest memories were in the art studio in the university. It is where I spent my free time in between lectures, practicing my hobby in painting.

3. In one word, how would you describe Jordan University?

Jordan University is a hub for opportunities.

4. Explain how your experiences at UJ shaped you?

It was in the University where I met with the Tourism Guide's Association at the Art studio and who opened my eyes on the tourism industry, although my major was English literature.​

5. Discuss what fascinated you about your chosen course of study?

what fascinated me in my studies in English literature as a major and German language as a minor study is that literature and languages may differ from culture or anotger but they all talk about life and humanity that every one on planet earth share.

We all have common grounds, and this is why literature and languages are very important to learn.

6. Offer advice to graduating students preparing to enter the workforce?

1. Believe in yourself and take your chance.

2. Chances are always there, keep your mind open to them.

3. If you have a dream or a project idea, start with it and don't listen to negative voices.

7. Reflect on what you wish you had known during your time as a student?

I wish we had field visits to connect the academic side of studies with the practical side.

8. Identify the person who has had the greatest impact on your career?

My Husband, Anwar Zureikat had the greatest positive impact on my career...He was and still is the biggest supporter in my life.​
