1. Introduce yourself? 

My name is Rana Abu Zeid, a forward-thinking leader renowned for my ability to bring out the best in individuals through mentorship. Iam the founder and managing partner of Investment World for Development and Technology, where I excelled in implementing and managing complex projects, including those involving big data an d link analysis. My expertise extends to managing various banking industry initiatives, such as treasury, trade finance, and reconciliation projects.

In addition to my professional achievements, I co-established four academies as Build-Operate- Transfer (BOT) initiatives in Jordan: Balqa Electronic Academy, SAP Academy, Laval Academy, and the National Employment and Training Academy.

I am also a dedicated board member of the Jordan National Sector Skills Council and Laval Academy, contributing to the development of educational and professional sectors in the country.

2. Share your fondest memory from your time at Jordan University?

"My fondest memory at the University of Jordan (UJ) is meeting incredible people who have become like family to me."

3. In one word, how would you describe Jordan University?

Pioneering

4. Explain how your experiences at UJ shaped you?

"At UJ, I refused to settle for the standard curriculum. I always pushed myself to take the toughest courses and sought extra work that would better prepare me for the challenges of my career. The

professors were accommodating and supported my determination to excel."

5. Discuss what fascinated you about your chosen course of study?

As a member of the first graduating class in Computer Science at UJ, I had a unique advantage. Our small class size gave us early exposure to the emerging job market, and our skills were in high demand. This opened numerous doors for me, setting the foundation for my professional journey."

6. Offer advice to graduating students preparing to enter the workforce?

"Believe in yourself and start gaining work experience early in your academic years. Doing so will give you invaluable insights into the professional world and help you navigate life after university with confidence."

7. Identify the person who has had the greatest impact on your career?

"Dr. Turki Saeed was instrumental in my journey. He believed in my capabilities and encouraged me to start working professionally during my second year of university. That early start laid the groundwork for my enduring career​
