I am the founder and managing director of Alpha Environmental Solutions, a leading company in the Middle East specializing in comprehensive lake management and consultancy services. As the lead consultant, I have spearheaded major projects for government bodies, prominent property developers, facilities management companies, and aquaculture research centers across the region. Over the past 20 years, I have been deeply involved in developing and implementing integrated lake management plans for over 100 lakes and water bodies, transforming them into healthy and beautiful ecosystems. When not working on lake management projects, I enjoy scuba diving and exploring the stunning landscapes of the Middle East. |
2. Share your fondest memory from your time at Jordan University? Our four-month student training at the University of Jordan's farm in the Jordan Valley. |

4. Explain how your experiences at UJ shaped you? During my master's degree, preparing my dissertation on mosquitoes provided me with the experience needed to join the public health sector and later manage city-wide public health pest control. |
5. Discuss what fascinated you about your chosen course of study? My fascination with insect behavior led me to specialize in entomology, eventually resulting in the establishment of my own pest management services and consultancy company. |
6. Offer advice to graduating students preparing to enter the workforce? Identify a problem or gap in your field of expertise that you are passionate about, and seek a solution. This approach is a great formula for creating and managing a successful business. |
7. Reflect on what you wish you had known during your time as a student? Nearly everything you learn will prove useful at some point in your career. |
8. Identify the person who has had the greatest impact on your career? Prof. Ahmed Katbeh from the University of Jordan guided my research on mosquitoes during my master's degree and supervised my M.Sc. thesis. This dissertation led to a job in the Dubai Municipality Pest Control Section and eventually helped me start my own pest management consultancy company.
