4. Explain how your experiences at UJ shaped you? My time at Jordan University profoundly shaped my way of thinking and provided me with the knowledge needed to excel in the animal production field. The university helped me understand the complexities of the industry, sharpening my perspective and expertise. |
5. Discuss what fascinated you about your chosen course of study? Growing up with a family poultry farm, I was always involved in the business, but once I joined university, I became more curious about the science behind animal production. I wanted to know more about the field and how to improve practices to create better outcomes, and this fascination led me to pursue a course of study that could deepen my knowledge. |
6. Offer advice to graduating students preparing to enter the workforce? My advice is to focus on understanding the “know-how" of your field. Don't just learn the theory—apply it, seek practical experience, and always keep an open mind. The real-world application of what you study is key to success. |
7. Reflect on what you wish you had known during your time as a student? I wish I had focused more on subjects like chemistry and biology, which are foundational to understanding the scientific aspects of animal production. These subjects provide a deep understanding that would have been beneficial as I transitioned into my career.
