1.       Introduce yourself?

I am Judge Dr. Jamal Haroun, born in Amman in 1966. I am married and have three children (two daughters and one son). I joined the University of Jordan in 1984 to study law, earning a Bachelor's degree with a very good grade in 1988. This milestone marked the beginning of my journey as I joined the Jordanian Bar Association and became a licensed attorney in 1990. In 1993, I obtained a Master's degree in Private Law from the University of Jordan with a very good grade, and I continued my academic journey, earning a Ph.D. in Intellectual Property from Amman Arab University with an excellent grade in 2003. Career Experience: I have extensive professional experience, having practiced law from 1990 to 2001. I was then appointed as a judge in the judiciary on November 27, 2001, and have been serving in this capacity ever since. Throughout my career, I have also worked as a full-time and part-time lecturer in various academic and judicial institutions. I have held several judicial positions, including President of the Madaba First Instance Court and the South Amman First Instance Court. Currently, I serve as the Director General of the Jordanian Judicial Institute.

2.       Share your fondest memory from your time at Jordan University?

I remember during my undergraduate years in the 1980s, while attending a lecture late in the evening, I was surprised by the weather conditions as snow covered the area. The government had suspended work due to the snow, and I was unaware because modern means of communication were not available. We faced difficulties getting home, but despite the heavy snow, the beautiful scenery created a memorable experience that has stayed with me ever since.
