About Alumni 1. Introduce yourself? I am Ghadeer Al-Momani, and today my name is recognized as one of the most prominent in the field of architecture and interior design in the region. Through a harmonious blend of engineering innovation and visionary leadership, I have built a distinguished position in this dynamic and competitive sector. As the Founder and CEO of Zain Architectural and Interior Design, I have personally led the design, execution, and management of architectural projects in several countries across the region as well as in Europe. In 2023, I had the honor of seeing my company receive the prestigious Luxury Lifestyle Award in New York, where we were named “Best Design and Execution Company" for our outstanding work on the Wolfiz Germany project located on Al Hudayriat Island in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the government-owned entity ADCC. My professional journey began in 2008, when I established a small architectural office in the Jordanian capital, Amman. As my reputation and success in the local market grew—through projects featured in architectural magazines, ranging from private residences for ministers, parliament members, and doctors, to military-related developments—I expanded by opening a second branch in Amman. Among my early achievements was the design of a private villa for Russian investor Mr. Majid Mamoyan, founder of Independence Mall, which was selected as the “Most Beautiful Villa Design" by Home Magazine in 2009. Later, I was commissioned to design and execute a private palace in Zurich spanning 15,000 square meters. My work gained further recognition in 2010, when I expanded my portfolio to include villa projects in Paris, Freiburg, and Kyiv, and later in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. In 2012, I founded Zain UAE in Abu Dhabi, followed by a branch in Dubai. Among my most distinguished projects is the design of a private museum for His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. | 2. Share your fondest memory from your time at Jordan University. The moment I distinguished myself with my graduation project under the supervision of creative architecture professors, I was immediately selected for a position at Panorama Office. | 3. In one word, how would you describe Jordan University? Pillar | 4. Explain how your experiences at UJ shaped you. The University of Jordan created for me a miniature version of the real external society, and thus a great life opportunity for learning, exchanging experiences, and recognizing the need to learn from all disciplines that, in reality, intersect with the architect in various fields. The vast expertise of its distinguished academic faculties is the main source of knowledge every day and in every lecture, in addition to the human interaction and the dedicated efforts to refine each student's character and set them on the right path | 5. Discuss what fascinated you about your chosen course of study. Because I have been passionate about art, drawing, modeling, and building structures since my childhood, and I learned this from my mother, who encouraged me to pursue this field. I found a strong and genuine connection with it, although it requires great patience and effort, which only increased my determination and drive to succeed. Moreover, the idea that a design or project can turn into a real, tangible reality that people use and that becomes part of the history of a nation's development is one of the greatest achievements, thanks to God. | 6. Offer advice to graduating students preparing to enter the workforce. The most important advice for graduating students is to start from any small opportunity and make the most of the internship period by learning from all employees. Patience—especially during the first years—is essential to gain the required experience, as climbing the career ladder initially requires significant effort and perseverance. | 7. Reflect on what you wish you had known during your time as a student. I wish I had benefited more from the elective or non-core subjects and focused on them more, to save time in learning them later through practical experience. This way, my steps in life would have been faster. The level of competition is very high, and one must work hard and exert effort to establish their path and achieve their dreams. | 8. Identify the person who has had the greatest impact on your career. First and foremost, my parents provided endless support at every stage, putting in tremendous effort to ensure my success Dr.Abdelhamid AlMomani On the teachers' side, prof. Mohammad Al-Maani offered indirect support through proper teaching and strict guidance during the educational period, along with Dr. Ali Abu Ghanimah and Dr. Nabil Al-Kurdi.
