About Alumni

1.  Introduce yourself?

I'm Rezeq Asali, a strategy, innovation, technology, investment, and startup professional. I'm the Managing Partner at hea GLobal, a strategy, innovation, investment, and venture boutique advisory company, where we work with startups, corporates, governments, and investment entities to design and execute transformation, innovation, and venture-building initiatives across MENA and Europe. I'm also actively involved in the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem as an advisor, mentor, and investor.

2. Share your fondest memory from your time at Jordan University?

My fondest memories are not tied to a single moment, but rather to the gradual development of intellectual curiosity and independence. Long discussions with peers, exposure to different perspectives, and learning how to think critically beyond textbooks defined my time at the University. Those experiences left a lasting imprint on how I approach learning and decision-making today.

3.  In one word, how would you describe Jordan University?

Formative.

4.  Explain how your experiences at UJ shaped you?

Jordan University helped me build a strong foundational mindset grounded in discipline, critical thinking, and resilience. It was where I learned to navigate complexity, take responsibility for my growth, and develop the confidence to challenge ideas constructively—skills that continue to shape my leadership and professional journey.

5. Discuss what fascinated you about your chosen course of study?

What fascinated me about Business Administration was its breadth and applicability. It sits at the intersection of strategy, people, markets, and execution. The ability to understand how organizations operate, grow, and create value became the foundation for my later work in strategy, innovation, and investment.

6. Offer advice to graduating students preparing to enter the workforce?

Don't rush to chase titles or comfort. Focus instead on learning, exposure, and responsibility. The early years of your career are about building judgment, resilience, and perspective. Stay curious, seek environments that stretch you, and remember that long-term growth always outweighs short-term gains.

7.  Reflect on what you wish you had known during your time as a student?

I wish I had known that uncertainty is a natural part of growth. You don't need to have everything figured out early on. What matters more is developing the ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and remain open to new ideas and opportunities.

8. Identify the person who has had the greatest impact on your career?

The person who has had the greatest impact on my career is Dr. Yazan Hijazi, my business partner. He challenged the way I think and encouraged me to see the world through a different lens. His perspective on leadership, systems thinking, and long-term value creation profoundly shaped how I approach strategy, problem-solving, and impact-driven work.
