He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from Yarmouk University (1985), and both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Arabic Literary Criticism from the University of Jordan (1996).
He was appointed as a professor at Philadelphia University and held several significant administrative positions both inside and outside the university, including:
- Advisor at the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation
- Vice President of Philadelphia University
- Founder of the Philadelphia University Arab University Theater Festival and Chairman of its organizing committee for six sessions
- Public Relations Secretary at the Jordanian Writers Association
- Editor-in-Chief of Philadelphia Cultural Magazine
- President of the Jordanian Critics Association for two consecutive terms
