She studied law at the University of Jordan. She is a distinguished Jordanian diplomat, serving as the High-level Ambassador and Plenipotentiary to Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Slovenia. She also holds the position of Permanent Representative of Jordan to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations in Vienna. She was the elected President of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
